31 Days of Halloween - Day 4

Hi - so here we are again! :o) Day 4! Hope everyone's enjoying all the projects!

Today I'm being brave and sharing my 2nd colouring project - if you don't count playschool - please be gentle with me!

The two images are digi-stamps, the witch was a freebie from Rick St Dennis via the Kit & Clowder Facebook page & the woods are from Delicious Darkness. This is them printed before I coloured them.

I printed them on some medium weight cardstock.   Initially I wasn't actually planning on teaming them together - I just print several images together to reduce wastage (although I still use all the snippets left over!) but after colouring the witch quite brightly I thought she'd look good with a darker background and the woods were just the right sizes.

I used Promarkers to colour the images trying out a bit of blending in the folds of her skirt the trees and the path. I know I've got a long way to go, but am fairly happy with the results.

Once coloured and trimmed I fastened her into place with some little 1mm foam pads I wanted to lift her slightly from the background.   I then placed this on some light green fibrous material (a bit like Tyvek or Spiders Web but more dense) which I'd stuck to a black base card. The green only shows as a small 2mm border but it seems to just work and tie it all together :o)

And there you have a little Halloween postcard!

My posts so far have all been relatively simple as I'm actually enjoying a week gadding about with Phil who's off work until Monday,  but I didn't want to
miss posting!! This is also the reason behind some delayed replies as I'm chasing wi-fi signals!  I'm planning come Tues/Weds I'll lift things up a little back to my usual messy altered art style - although I shall also share more colouring (I've taken some digi-stamps away with me!)

Don't forget to visit the other Wicked Bloggers - the list is on my sidebar.

Thanks for visiting - until tomorrow
